SVE has been sponsoring Ryan Herhusky for several seasons now. Ryan
is a second year FIS skier and a senior at Sugar Bowl Academy. Ryan’s first year of FIS skiing was cut short due to the COVID shut downs but he has been making up for lost time this season. Ryan had two top 10 finishes up in Big Sky in February and followed that up with his first podiums in Schweitzer, Idaho (2nd in both Super G races and one of the GS races). He raced in the US Nationals qualifiers in Sugar Bowl and Squaw Valley with a top 15 GS finish and 7th in slalom (2nd American) which enabled him to meet the objective criteria to qualify for US Nationals. Ryan is currently ranked top 15 in the country in slalom, GS and SG for his age group and is working on his world ranking in slalom and GS with the hopes of being nominated to the National Training Group for the 2021-2022 season. He plans to take a gap year next season to race on the NorAm circuit before doing some college racing.
